Souheila Yacoub as Alice

Alice is the emotional center of the film. After losing her husband Will in a car accident, she travels to the family's secluded lakehouse for his cremation. Trapped with in-laws she barely knows and who blame her for the crash, Alice must fight to survive when the Deadite infection begins spreading through the household.

Souheila Yacoub is a Swiss actress born in Geneva to a Tunisian father and a Flemish mother. Before acting, she was a competitive rhythmic gymnast on the Swiss national team. After the team failed to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics, she pivoted to entertainment and was crowned Miss Suisse Romande 2012. She trained at the Cours Florent and the Conservatoire National Superieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris.

Yacoub is best known internationally for playing Shishakli, a Fremen warrior, in Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two (2024). She also appeared in Gaspar Noe's Climax (2018) and was nominated for a Cesar Award for Planete B (2024). Evil Dead Burn marks her first leading role in a major Hollywood franchise.

Hunter Doohan as Joseph

Joseph is Will's younger brother and the character who connects the Price family to the broader Evil Dead lore. Researching his late grandfather Benjamin's studies about the Necronomicon and Deadites, Joseph uncovers the Kandarian Dagger hidden at the family lakehouse. His discovery sets the entire horror in motion.

Hunter Doohan is an American actor best known for playing Tyler Galpin in Netflix's Wednesday (2022 to 2025) and Adam Desiato in Showtime's Your Honor (2020 to 2021) alongside Bryan Cranston. He has also appeared in Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again (2025).

Doohan told Out that Joseph's grandfather knew Professor Knowby, the character from Evil Dead II who first studied the Necronomicon. "This movie connects the lore through the whole franchise, which I found really exciting," Doohan said. He also revealed that he rewatched all the Evil Dead films and studied the franchise wiki during the audition process.

Luciane Buchanan as Thya

Thya is Joseph's girlfriend and an outsider to the Price family. She accompanies Joseph to the lakehouse after his brother's death and quickly finds herself pulled into a nightmare she never saw coming. Thya serves as the audience surrogate as someone unfamiliar with the family's cursed history.

Luciane Buchanan is a New Zealand actress of Tongan and Scottish descent, best known for her starring role as Rose Larkin in Netflix's The Night Agent (2023 to 2025). The series made her a breakout star, and she is confirmed to return for the show's fourth and final season, according to Deadline. She also appeared in The New Legends of Monkey (2018 to 2020) and Apple TV+'s Chief of War (2025) opposite Jason Momoa.

Tandi Wright as Susan and Maude Davey as Polly

Susan is Alice's mother-in-law and the family member most desperate to maintain normalcy. She grew up watching her husband become the local embarrassment due to his connection to the Evil Dead, and she has spent decades burying that shame beneath a composed exterior.

Tandi Wright is a veteran New Zealand actress with a career spanning over three decades. She is best known for playing Ruth in Ti West's horror film Pearl (2022), Nurse Caroline Buxton on the long-running soap Shortland Street, and Pauline Dawson in Paramount's Love and Monsters (2020), according to Wikipedia.

Polly is the 85-year-old matriarch of the Price family. Her late husband Benjamin was the one who first brought the Necronomicon's influence into the family through his research with Professor Knowby. Maude Davey plays Polly, who provides dark comic relief while also hinting at the decades of madness the Evil Dead has already inflicted on the family.

George Pullar as Will and Erroll Shand as Edgar

Will is Alice's deceased husband. Though he never appears alive on screen, his death in a car accident brings the family together and initiates the Deadite outbreak. George Pullar has described Will as controlling and manipulative, a man whose behavior made the marriage difficult even before supernatural forces entered the picture.

Erroll Shand plays Edgar, the patriarch of the Price family and father to both Will and Joseph. Edgar's grief and guilt drive him to secretly visit Will's coffin at the crematorium, an act that triggers the Deadite transformation. His character's descent into possession becomes one of the film's most disturbing sequences.

Supporting Cast and Franchise Connections

Victory Ndukwe appears as Leo, and Keanu Karim plays Jared, members of the extended circle around the family. Greta van den Brink plays Jessica, a Deadite whose early appearance in the film sets the tone for the violence to come.

Michael Hurst provides the voice of Benjamin Price, the deceased grandfather whose research into the Necronomicon and connection to Professor Knowby from Evil Dead II (1987) serves as the franchise's throughline. Alain Chabat, the French actor and filmmaker known for Science of Sleep, voices Alice's Father.

Alyssa Sutherland appears as Ellie, a cameo that connects directly to her role as the possessed mother in Evil Dead Rise (2023). The film also features two post-credits scenes that expand the franchise's future, according to Collider.
